Snowdon at Night

About the challenge
Trekking Mt Snowdon (1,085m) during the daytime forms a great challenge, but by using torches to light your way and having the moon as your backdrop, summiting at night brings another sense of achievement to an already recognised charity trek.
Seeing the sunrise across Snowdonia National Park will be a memory never forgotten! Upon your descent, you will witness the breathtaking mountain range open up to give glorious views and afterwards tuck into a delicious celebration breakfast!
Day 1
We meet in Llanberis in the evening for event registration and briefing. Walking straight to the start we use the Llanberis Path and our ascent should take approximately 3 - 4 hours. We’ll be using our head torches to
light our way and the tranquillity of experiencing this mountain at night will never be forgotten.
Day 2
We celebrate our achievements once we summit and begin our descent using the same trail. The descent will take approx. 2-3 hours and upon reaching our finish line in Llanberis, we celebrate with a well-earned breakfast. Trekking distance – approx. 9 miles Please note this is a complex itinerary, and is subject to change.
Take part for SeeAbility
Our challenge event participants take on these amazing adventures each year to support SeeAbility and the work that we do.
There are two options to choose from when signing up for your trekking or cycling challenge.
Minimum Sponsorship
This option means that the cost of challenge is included in your fundraising target. You will be set a minimum target, and anything raised above this will be more funds for the charity. You simply pay your registration fee and fundraise the rest!
Self-Funding
This option means that you will pay the registration, then you will cover the remaining cost of the challenge 12 weeks prior to departure. You will not have a minimum fundraising target, but we encourage you to make as much as possible.
Whichever option is right for you, please remember you will still receive the very best support from our SeeAbility fundraising team.
