Over £1000 raised at quiz night!
Supporter Darcey hosted a quiz night with her cousin Roseanna to raise vital funds for the charity as part of their London Marathon fundraising.
Darcey and Roseanna both feel passionate about fundraising for SeeAbility and are excited to go the extra mile (26 miles in fact!) in 2023 to show their support.
Darcey said “I wanted to run the London Marathon because I see how important raising money is to provide more opportunities to the people we support. The fact that SeeAbility is a small charity, has kept us motivated to raise awareness as well as funds.”
Darcey organised a quiz night in her town, using her local knowledge to organise the venue, refreshments and raffle prizes. The night was a big success, with 20 teams taking part, buying raffle tickets and enjoying pasties. Darcey and Roseanna were pleased to have raised £1100 for SeeAbility on the evening.
“SeeAbility supported the event by sending a fundraising pack which included balloons, pens, wristbands and information we could use on the day which highlighted to those participating why and who we were running the marathon for and also made the venue look very festive”
“Organising the event involved hard work, but overall, the experience and being creative was very enjoyable, especially planning it with Roseanna. Knowing that the donations received, along with raising awareness of what the charity does made all the hard work worthwhile and very rewarding.”
