Sovereign Capital Partners’ 565 Challenge raised a whopping £39,444.24 for three charities, including SeeAbility.

Colleagues at Sovereign set out to support SeeAbility, Zoological Society of London (ZSL), and The Brain & Spine Foundation through the 565 Challenge, with the aim of covering 565 miles.

The team walked, ran, cycled and travelled by non-motorised means over 7 days in June as part of the 565 Challenge and beat their target by nearly four times bringing the total to 2141.77 miles!

The company chose three causes very close to them, including SeeAbility.

The investment firm developed the challenge to do something that connected ‘distance and tenacity’, to reflect both the spirit of the London Marathon which charities rely on, and the capabilities of the penguin, the emblem of Sovereign - the Emperor penguin can dive as deep as 565 metres, so they came up with the idea of travelling 565 miles.

Colleagues across the firm rose to the challenge individually and in teams to exceed the target. Challenges included epic cycle rides on roads and through Zwift, running from the Oval to Lords in full cricket kit during the June heat, and a 30km row - dressed as a penguin!
