Lauren Butler
What is your role?
I’m Director of Development, so I’m responsible for ensuring that SeeAbility can support more people. We work with the person, their family and the people who commission our services to ensure that the person’s new home and support meets everyone’s high expectations.
What is your role history?
I joined the Senior Leadership Team in 2022 after spending five years working at SeeAbility as Head of Business development. I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to drive forward our ambition to support more people to live great lives.
What inspires you?
I absolutely love working in a co-productive manner. There is nothing better than seeing someone thriving in their new home and their families living their lives knowing that their loved one is happy. Some of the people we support and their families have faced huge barriers to get to where they are – they are my inspiration.
What’s your favourite thing to do outside work?
I have two children, a dog and a cat and lead a very busy life outside of work. If you don’t find me supporting the children on the side of a football or cricket pitch or providing a taxi service at the weekends, I’m usually forcing myself to go to the gym or meeting up with friends.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
Never assume anything.
