Volunteering in 2023-24

We are hugely grateful to our team of volunteers at SeeAbility. In 2023-24 our volunteering team grew to 110. It's the biggest team we’ve had in recent years at SeeAbility, but we’re not stopping there!

We’re working hard to make the volunteering experience the best it can be. We've created new and varied roles for our volunteers, so there’s no limit to what you can do to support our work.

We have gardeners, befrienders, drivers, activity buddies, and people who support with admin tasks in various teams. Each of our volunteers have our utmost admiration and appreciation for their contribution.

In the last year we’ve worked hard to improve the volunteer experience. There’s been a lot of work behind the scenes with a new volunteer policy, new ID badges and a volunteer handbook, containing all the answers to questions volunteers might have through their time with us.

We are always looking for new volunteers from local communities around our homes, or virtually for roles supporting our central office teams. It's so important for people we support to be connected with their local communities, and to have their voices and lived experienced heard.

Whether you’re local to our homes, or want to support virtually for roles supporting our central office teams, please get in touch with any questions, or check out our latest vacancies.

We are all immensely grateful for the time, effort, skills and dedication of all our volunteers. It's incredible to see the difference you make in the opportunities and quality of life of people you support.
