“My name’s Ian Brown.

“I’m running the London Marathon, in 2024 for SeeAbility. My son has autism, and global development delay.

“I’ve always wanted to run a marathon, but I wanted to do it for something, and SeeAbility help children like my son, so I thought it would be a nice idea to try and help them.

“I sustained an injury in January this year, to my left knee. I couldn’t run for about 40 minutes without some pain, but in all likelihood now, my marathon is going to be a combination of running sections and walking sections, to both succeed in crossing the finish line and also succeed in not injuring myself. I’m not sure how many times I’ll run a marathon, but I do know that the one time I’m going to do it for a certain, I’m going to cross that finish line.”
