Listen Up!
Influencing attitudes
Raising awareness
Changing policy
SeeAbility's Listen Up! programme incorporates people who have lived experience of disability into our campaign work. They work to raise the voice of people with learning disabilities, autism, and sight loss to live, love, thrive and belong.
Our mission
We are SeeAbility's Listen Up! team and we all have lived experience of disability.
We work to raise the voice of people with learning disabilities, autism, and sight loss to live, love, thrive and belong.
We do this by influencing attitudes, raising awareness, and changing policy where needed. We want to shape a future where disabled people can participate as equal citizens.
We want to work in partnership and lend our voice to important campaigns.
We use coproduction to shift the balance of power towards inclusion for all.
Why Summer became part of the SeeAbility Listen Up! programme
I care most about equal opportunities for people and for people not to be discriminated against. I also want to make health care providers aware of our needs and what we do or don’t like. If I can impact this in any way it could not only make my experiences a lot easier, but many others' too.
Our offer
We want to support organisations, campaigns and policy-makers to make the world a more inclusive place for people with learning disabilities, autism and sight loss.
You can request advice and support from our associates.
You can call on our team to speak at events and support campaigns.
You can work in partnership with our team to build a more inclusive world for people with disabilities.
